Inspection & Testing Services

We have extensive experience in Inspection & Testing and are able to provide this service in both Commercial and Domestic Installations. Our work and certification conforms to the current IET Wiring Regulations BS7671 2018, including subsequent amendments, and is available in a digital format.

In addition to the testing services, we are able to provide free quotations should there be any rectification work required.

The Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020 places a continuous duty on landlords in England to maintain their property to the electrical safety standards and to have evidence of this. This means your property must meet the 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations and you must have a report that shows this from a qualified person.

Since 1st June 2020, private landlords in England have been required to have the electrical installation in their rental properties checked by a qualified electrician to ensure that they are safe.

JD Electrical Solutions are able to offer this service to both private & social landlords to ensure they remain compliant. In addition to this we are also able to offer a PAT testing service to ensure portable electrical equipment is safe to use.

Like the Domestic service, we offer the service of Electrical Installation Condition Reports to larger commercial & industrial installations. Business owners have a duty of care and a responsibility to prove a safe place of work. JD Electrical Solutions are able to work with clients to ensure continuation of service by working safely which sometimes means working out of hours to minimise disruption. We are trained in safe systems of work and adhere to strict safe isolation procedures.

Our reports are comprehensive and detailed using innovative methods and procedures which includes infrared detection to detect unseen heat build ups.

In addition to Electrical Installation Condition Reports we are able to carry out Emergency Lighting Inspection and Service Reports to ensure compliance with BS 5266-1.

Assisting our clients compliance with BS5266 by upgrading their aged existing lighting with new upgraded LED emergency lighting.

Alongside upgrades, we carry out Emergency Lighting Periodic Inspection Reports and Emergency Lighting Monthly Service Reports for commercial premises.

We hold both the fully approved, and domestic installer’s status for Part P building control compliance. In addition to this we are registered on the ‘Registered Competent Person’ portal for EICR (electrical installation condition reports) testing & inspections.

Microgeneration Certification Scheme

We are an approved contractor for the MCS via the NAPIT (National Association of Professional Inspectors & Testers) approval scheme. MCS is a mark of quality, and being a member of the MCS demonstrates our adherence to industry standards, quality, competency and compliance.

RECC

Renewable Energy Consumer Code

We are members of the RECC as part of our MCS accreditation. RECC set out high consumer protection for selling renewable energy generation systems to domestic consumers.
